This design-build project for a division one, state of the art athletic facility encompassed multiple facets of technology based systems including Broadcast Cabling and Equipment including NCAA required video cameras and playback for officials, mobile broadcast studio connectivity, Digital Signage, Displays and Game Clocks, Arena and Local Sound systems, Video capture, storage and coaching software in addition to LAN, Telephony and Wireless next generation 802.11ac equipment, Video Security and Access Control connectivity.
- A fast-track project with additional design and support for building automation, ice monitoring-management, hydro-therapy and food services.
- Construction administration and Project Management acting as the Owners Representative were key components of our ability to coordinate the various trades and stakeholders while adapting new technologies and systems to existing infrastructure and applications on a very aggressive timetable.
In addition to design and specification work the Skyline group handled several bid packages, RFP’s, Contractor evaluations, technology system assessments and integration coordination along with outside plant work to upgrade pathways, transmission media and service provider connections for CATV, Satellite TV and head-end. The Telecommunications cabling specifications and drawings were developed in accordance with the Providence College Telecommunications Standards.
This Architectural Award Winning Project for “Outstanding design in the post-secondary school category” is a 63,000-square-foot, three-story new construction project that was designed and built in 18 months with work completed in the summer of 2013.
Designed and built in a style to complement Providence College’s first building. Harkins Hall, The Skyline team as owners representatives for Telecom, IT and A-V infrastructure were part of the combined group of owners, architects and consultants that brought this campus showpiece to life, integrating 21st century technology and systems for student, faculty and staff into this gothic styled building with architectural details and aesthetic design considerations to ensure a true to style building with the benefit of state of the art educational and technology tools, applications and services.
One of the first campus installations of IEEE 802.11ac Wireless LAN Technology in the country, the building has wireless coverage throughout the building and in adjacent outdoor classroom areas incorporating custom designed, integrated stanchions for Emergency Call “Blue Light” Phones, CCTV Cameras, Strobes and Wireless Antenna’s. ISTelecommunications Construction Administration and Project Management Services Our responsibilities include: acting as “Low Voltage Representative” for Partners Health Care’s Real Estate Group with responsibilities to provide general oversight of the Construction Manager, Low Voltage Contractor for both the interior and exterior connectivity, Telecommunications equipment procurement, Telecommunications equipment vendors and IS/Telecom departments. Fiber Optic Aerial Design, Permitting and Client Agent Services

The scope of the project was to provide a cost-effective fiber optic aerial design, permitting, and act as Clients’ agent services for construction of a fifteen mile expansion of Clients’ existing statewide fiber optic network between two new facilities.
Completed field survey of proposed route and collected required information for Verizon and local Municipal Electric Company for their Pole Attachment License Application and Underground Lease Application to create construction plans.
Prepared and submitted application to Verizon and Local Municipal Electric Company to initiate a pre-construction survey for the aerial routes and an Underground Application to phone company for conduit use along roadway.
Completed and filed appropriate Grant of Location Applications in the City for the installation of any subsurface conduit within the public way.
Finalized and submitted petitions for installation of the aerial attachments to be filed with the Town.
Assisted in the preparation and filing of the appropriate Grant of Location Applications in the City for the installation of any subsurface conduit within the public way.
Constructed drawings of the route, detailing the fiber optic cable requirements and installation parameters, including review of AutoCAD files with a key map showing the route in its entirety.

Complete Telecommunication Infrastructure for Distribution Center
Design Completed January 2005
The scope of the project was to provide Telecommunication Design Services for the 48,000 square foot fitness center at Hanscom Air Force Base.
Delivered a comprehensive site evaluation of existing tel/data, security, public address and sound systems, a design narrative document, a project scope evaluation with the General Contractor, a 100% Construction drawing set and specifications suitable for bid.
Performed a thorough site survey to evaluate and document findings of the existing telecommunications systems at the present fitness center site.
Provided Construction Administration services and performed 4 site visits with detailed written visit reports, evaluating the proper installation of cabling and systems.
Evaluated the cable testing records and “As Builts” required of the cabling contractor in the written specifications.
Provided a Design narrative based on the existing systems and supplied Hanscom AFB systems standards.
Produced a 100% Construction Set of Telecommunication T-Series drawings suitable for bid.
Created a Telecommunications structured cabling specification in CSI 16700 format to include Tel/Data, CATV and Paging System speaker cabling.
