Secondary Incoming Internet Pathway Duct Bank and Conduit Design

The scope of the project was to provide a cost-effective secondary incoming telecommunications conduit duct bank pathway in order to accomplish the goal of establishing a redundant connection to the internet at the CCRI Warwick Campus Main Building.
Evaluated existing documentation, including civil drawings of private and public owned property.
Assessed existing and potential connectivity providers.
Provided a design for proposed secondary pathway, including Construction Drawings and Specifications for connectivity to the President’s House, the Observatory and the Main Building for bid to qualified Contractors.
Developed and presented several options, including an Aerial approach on existing poles and conduit for multiple connectivity points from East Avenue.
Recommended the best possible route to include an all underground solution.
Reviewed each bidder’s qualifications and costs to meet CCRI’s requirements.
Presented a thorough efficient cost-sensitive evaluation of potential connectivity providers.
Submitted recommendation to CCRI for further negotiations with the top qualified bidder.
